Coach Doud

Brett Doud joins the Iowa Lightning for his second season in 2010. Doud has been in the Oskaloosa Community School system since 2008 where he teaches 6th grade math. Doud attended Central College in Pella, IA where he majored in elementary education. He was a standout athlete while at Central College competing in football where he was a four year letterman, 2007 team co-captain, 2006 &2007 second team all-Iowa Conference, 2005 first team all-Iowa Conference, and was a 2005 d3football.com all-West Region 2nd team selection.

Coach Doud was pleased to return to his alma mater, Class 4A Oskaloosa Senior High School, where he starred in football, basketball and track. He continues to be involved in each of those sports at Oskaloosa and serves in key coaching roles, including being Coach Bryan White’s assistant head coach in boy’s basketball.

Coach Doud is married to his high school sweetheart Amanda, who also teaches in the Oskaloosa school system. The Iowa Lightning is thrilled to welcome back Coach Doud and his many contributions that he brings to our program.
